The Spade Oak is a stylish, modern pub, bar and restaurant offering a prime setting in which to indulge, drink, and socialise, no matter what the occasion.

This stylish contemporary pub provides an impressive selection of fine pub food, beers, wines and real ales, all year round.

With its beautiful interiors bursting with character, and its spacious outdoor area, The Spade Oak is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet drink with friends, a light lunch with a co-worker, or a relaxed al fresco dinner during the warm summer months.

All of our seasonal menus have been carefully designed to provide something for every taste and every occasion - from light bites, and traditional mains, through to sharing platters, sides, and tempting desserts, our superb selection of freshly made dishes are prepared by our expert chefs, using only the finest ingredients.

We also have a spacious patio for outdoor dining and al fresco drinks in the sunshine.

Located in the village of Bourne End, The Spade Oak is accessible by road, on foot, or via public transport.

It is located about five miles south-east of High Wycombe and three miles east of Marlow, near the border with Berkshire and close to where the Buckinghamshire River Wye empties into the Thames.

The Spade Oak can be found down the bottom of a country lane off the A4155 Marlow Road between Marlow and Bourne End.

The Spade Oak is located in the village of Bourne End, close to the larger town of Marlow. There are plenty of attractions in the area, which can be enjoyed before or after your visit to The Spade Oak.

The quintessentially British town of Marlow is famous for its excellent High Street shopping with many independent retailers, cafes and even a Michelin starred restaurant.

If you’re looking to soak up some fresh air and stunning views, there are a whole host of countryside walks in the area, such as the Bourne End and Spade Oak Lake stile-free walk. This walk combines a wonderful stretch of the Thames Path with views of the hills beyond and a circuit of Spade Oak Lake Nature Reserve.
